Cummings Park is a beach that once was a hotspot for shell fishing. The park was built around 1906 and it was called Halloween Park because Homer Cummings the mayor at the time was the one that casted the decisive vote on the building of the park the same day of the Halloween celebrations of that year.
Another major tourist destination in the city of Stamford is Cove Island Pak. It used to be a farm, and then it was refurbished to serve as a factory. This park of Cove island has many different beaches and places for the whole family to have a picnic. This is the ideal spot for bird watchers and for people that enjoy looking that the local wild life that are housed in the beaches’ wild life sanctuary.
